Welcome to the school of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS). The school is well equipped with qualified academic staff committed to teaching as well as undertaking research and consultancy services.

Currently, the school hosts 5 teaching departments each offering an array of courses that are market driven.

The SHSS also collaborates with departments from other Schools of Kwame Nkrumah University and two Directorates.

Over the years the School of Humanities and Social Sciences has been expanding and diversifying existing programs in a bid to offer more opportunities for relevant academic and professional developments, thus remaining socially relevant.

The School has attracted outstanding teachers and researchers. Its departments offer a wide range of conventional face to face (on campus) learning, and Distance Learning programmes at two levels, i.e., Undergraduate and Postgraduate.

The school is extremely proud of its graduates, many of whom have gone on to hold high profile positions in private and public institutions in Zambia, Africa and Internationally.
